Ron Artest Game Winner vs. Phoenix Suns, 2010 NBA Western Conference Finals Game 5

In sports as in life, second chances are always there for the taking if you want it bad enough.

In game five of the Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers/Phoenix Suns, Lakers forward Ron Artest after two ill-advised shots redeemed himself by rebounding a Kobe Bryant miss into the game-winning shot.



The Lakers now have a 3-2 series lead with game six being played on Saturday.

"Poetic Justice" Written By Sundiata Gaines, Game-Winner vs. Cavs

In life much like sports, there are certain moments where it appears that the line of fact and fiction seems to blur. Certain moments that we can conceive as impossible become the inevitable.

The story of Utah Jazz guard Sundiata Gaines started in the NBA's Developmental League playing for the Idaho Stampede where he dominated enough to received a call-up for the Utah Jazz which is seen below.



Sundiata Gaines was on the first breath of his NBA 10-day contract and appeared that he would be little of a factor versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, Jazz guard Deron Williams went down with an injury which thrusted Gaines into the game.

He played well but Lebron James had appeared to shut the door on a Jazz comeback with back to back "dagger" three point shots. Gaines appeared that he was going to be a side note in a Cavalier victory but missed free throws kept the Jazz alive.

Then this happened....

Just when you thought it was safe to play the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant decides to pull out another game winner.

The Lake-Show was down one with about five seconds left in overtime and then Kobe Bryant decided to work his magic.

Why can't NBA teams not learn this simple fact: Never allow Kobe Bryant to take the game winning shot.

Chris Redman/Vince Young Game-Winning TD Passes

For those of you that had Falcons quarterback Chris Redman and Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young in your pool of quarterbacks to lead comeback drives for touchdowns, you probably earned your cash this week.

Redman's chance came after an injury to starter Matt Ryan, Redman's 5 yard touchdown pass to Roddy White keeps the Falcons alive in the playoff hunt out in the NFC.

Vince Young decided to lead a 99-yard touchdown drive that featured three "fourth down" conversions which ended on a game-winning 10 yard pass to Kenny Britt.

I think Bud Adams would like a "Thank You" card, coach Fisher.
