Looking To Go Home

It is the last day of our vacation. Tomorrow we will be flying out of here and should be home some time around midnight--as long as no flights are delayed. I had hoped to post more while we were here, but the internet access has been very hit-and-miss. I relied on using someone's unsecured network and things didn't always work out very well. ;)

To put this last 12 days in a nutshell: Floria is a very nice place to visit, but I definitely wouldn't want to live here. I like the cold--it helps preserve me. :) We have had a wonderful time, but it is going to be nice to be back home in a regular, familiar routine. I will do a series of posts about the trip and I have pictures to share, so come back in a few days and I will have a lot to say!

Alexander Semin from Way Downtown

The Washington Capitals have pretty much become one of the most dominanting teams in the NHL. Currently, the team is 3rd in the Eastern Conference and pulled off a win over the Boston Bruins on Saturday.

However the way the game ended was the more interesting part. With about 4:30 to go in the overtime period tied at three, Alexander Semin shot an 80 foot slap-shot and buried it to give the Capitals the 4-3 win.

Boston Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas missed the slap-shot and well in the words of a great Canadian, "There will never be another tonight."

Larysa Poznyak is a gorgeous Russian model who grew up in the Ukraine, did some teen modeling in Russia and won the title Miss Moscow Beauty 2003. She now lives in the U.S. and is a host on cable network FTV. She is featured on FashionTV and Ashley Paige bikini model fashion party.

March Madness Memories: Bryce Drew sinks Ole Miss

Back in the year of 1998, 13th seed Valparaiso faced off against the 4th ranked Ole Miss Running Rebels in the Midwest bracket in the first round.

Valpo and Ole Miss battled to the end but Bryce Drew who missed the first game winning attempt came back and hit the winner. Valpo pulled the stunning 70-69 victory and moved on in the tournament where they made it to the Sweet Sixteen before losing to Arkansas.

"Bryce Drew did it" now echoes through March Madness lore.

The Definitive Duke Traveling Compilation

While watching the Duke/Virginia Tech game yesterday, there was a questionable call in the final seconds if Duke guard John Scheyer traveled. Although, it could really be a toss up call since he was fouled at least once before you could call the traveling.

However I started to notice the amount of Duke players traveling, here are a couple of other videos.
