Of course, I wish you a Happy April Fool's Day..whatever that means.

Tomorrow on April 2 at 9:06a (EDT) Mercury will move into Taurus which will slow down our thoughts. Those high falutin' Aries thoughts that we have had for last few weeks will transition into thoughts that are far more practical. Suddenly our brains feel grounded. "How do we get things done?" Will be our focus. And because Mercury will Retrograde in the middle of the month, we are going to have Mercury in Taurus way longer than normal. It is not until June 10th that it will move into licketysplit Gemini. Until that time we will have six weeks where we focus on patience on practicality. Obviously, a lesson that we are in need of experiencing. See how it feels this weekend.

On Saturday April 3, 7:25am (EDT) Venus Squares Mars. Not great for resources or love since both will feel ganged upon. Everyone feels fat in THAT dress. The wallet looks holey and the hand that is stretched out in front of us asking for us to give it something---well, it pisses us off. Curb your tongue as best as you can (ah, maybe that's the patience lesson we are learning from Mercury in Taurus). It will feel a wee bit better on Sunday. Sunday April 4 at 11:12pm (EDT) Venus will trine Pluto. We only get this trine 2 times a year how nice it is happening on Easter Sunday. Talk about HeHasRisen! Pluto demands death and rebirth and Venus is all out love and money. Lots of us may wake up on Sunday feeling one way and by the time the day ends (and we're closer to the aspect) we will have a completely new handle on what we love. Love of things may be replaced with love of "Lasting Things". Disposable anything will be very unappealing.

Too many conversations like this in our house:

Husband: Why didn't you tell me (insert ANYTHING)?
Me: What do you mean? I TOLD you that!!!
Husband: No you didn't. I would have remembered if you did.
Me: ??? {walking away, shaking head, and fuming}

I believe I will buy myself a mini-recorder and record everything I say from now on. It will save us an awful lot of arguments in the future.

why suffer?

In the darkest days of my psychic journey into the unconscious I dream I am standing on a wild black ocean under a black sky, in the thickest darkness I can imagine. I am buffeted by a cosmic wind and I am calling for someone and someone is calling out for me. But the wind is obscuring our voices and I am completely lost and alone.

Glenn-Gray says that ‘the experience of Dread’ is a confrontation with the truth that at the ‘end of all striving….is the abyss of Non-being’. He considers it to be a most difficult truth to discover and even more difficult to face up to but that it is an experience to be ‘sought and endured’. (Glenn-Gray, 117)

Just recently someone commented that the journey into darkness was 'over-rated' and to be avoided if at all possible, and I absolutely agree. So does Uncle Carl. In Aspects of the Feminine he 'advises us to let sleeping dogs lie because the perilous journey into the unconscious is neither useful or necessary until we are driven to it out of necessity. (Breaux 1989: xi)

The temptation to ask 'why me' is natural but really unnecessary because I know that unfortunately we learn little from being comfortable. Despite my cries of 'it's not fair' and 'I just want an easy life', I am overwhelmingly grateful for the insights I have gained through adversity.

But I do look forward to the day when I can rest.

Musapostaus part 2

Nyt on siis toisen osan aika, ykkösosa löytyy täältä. Menen suoraan asiaan, eli laitan aina yhden biisin joiltain lempibändeistän. Olen tällaisissa postauksissa vähän huono, mutta koska lupasin toisenkin postauksen lempibändeistäni, niin tässä se nyt tulee. :D

Billy Talentista on varmasti jokainen kuullut heidän uusimman levyn myötään. Itse löysin kyseisen bändin jälleen kerran kaverini Vilun kautta loppuvuodesta -08, ja se onkin kuulunut lempibändeihini siitä asti. Ihanaa angstausmusaa.

The All-American Rejectskin tuli tunnetummaksi mm. Gives You Hell -biisillään, mutta itse tutustuin bändiin suunnilleen ysiluokalla. Tämä onkin jo paljon iloisampaa pop-rokkia, ei aina jaksa mököttää. Alla oleva videokin on muuten aika söpis. :D ♥

The Crash on yksi harvoista suomalaisbändeistä joita kuuntelen. Muistan kun kuunneltiin sitä jo pieninä ala-asteelaisina Vilun luona, mutta lähivuosina olen kuunnellut sitä enemmän. Harmi vain että tämäkin mahtava bändi lopetti. :( Niin ja luultiin nappuloina tosiaan että It's Contagious -biisissä lauletaan disco potatoes eikä it's contagious..

Jatkan piipittävä miesääni -linjalla, joten seuraavaksi vuorossa on Mew. Tämäkin on Vilun aikaansaannoksia musiikkimaussani.. Kumpikin taidetaan tykätä vähän raskaamman musiikin lisäksi juuri tällaisista piipittävän lauluäänen omaavista miekkosista. :D

Muistan, että The Ark aloitteli todellista rakkauttani musiikkiin kasiluokalla. Ihan mahtavaa omaperäisyyttä ja sanoituksia rakkaalta länsinaapuriltamme. Ihmettelen suuresti ettei se pärjännyt pari vuotta sitten Euroviisuissa.
Kuunnelkaa nyt näitäkin lyriikoita. ♥__♥

Kuuntelen tosi vähän naisartisteja tai bändejä joissa on naislaulaja, mutta The Sounds on yksi niistä. Bändin musa on kivan energistä ja mukavaa vaihtelua musamakuuni.

Laitoin viimeksikin randomisti seitsemän eri videota, joten teen niin nytkin. Viimeisen bändin valitseminen oli kyllä hankalaa, mutta päädyin nyt suomalaiseen Disco Ensembleen. Tämäkin on yksi niistä harvoista kuunneltavista suomalaisista. Huomasin muuten jossain vaiheessa että Pete Parkkonen kuulostaa välillä häiritsevän paljon Disco Ensemblen laulajalta.. En meinannut osata päättää tämän kappaleen ja Headphonesin väliltä.

Enemmän voit tarkastella musamakuani täältä. Onhan tuota tullut ihan mukavasti kuunneltua alle 1,5v aikana pelkästään koneella ollessa. :--D Kohta 40 000 kuuntelua.

Sattuuko kukaan lukijoistani kuuntelemaan samoja bändejä kuin minä? Joku muukin kuin Vilu.. :--D Paitsi että Ylppöä ja Happoradiota ym. kakkaa en kyllä ikinä ala kuuntelmaan. 8--|
