Looking to engage his intellect, Kris Allen was spotted shopping for books in Los Angeles yesterday (April 21).
Joined by his wife Katy, the ?American Idol? alum looked snazzy in a tan fedora with a black jacket, blue shirt, and jeans.
Kris is slated to perform with the Berklee City Music All-Star Band in May in New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington DC to raise awareness about music education.
He told press, "To be associated with a leader in music education such as the Berklee City Music program is truly an honor. Music education is vital to any child's development and is a cause that I hold close to my heart. The opportunities that the Berklee program provides to kids are remarkable and inspiring."
Music Empowers Foundation founder Andy Davis returned the favor- "It is very gratifying to partner with Kris in support of an innovative program like Berklee City Music. Kris is an amazing advocate for music education and by doing these concerts we hope to raise awareness and attract funding for additional programs."
