Sara Rue and Kevin Price tied the knot on Satuday in front of 100 friends and family.After famously losing over 50 lbs. on Jenny Craig, Sara Rue has gained herself a husband.
The actress and college consultant Kevin Price said "I do" in front of 100 guests on Saturday at the Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades.
"I've never been happier," the host of the CW's "Shedding For the Wedding" tells Us Magazine. "I feel so lucky to have found someone as kind, funny and smart as Kevin."
A friend of the couple who was ordained online performed the 20-minute ceremony that incorporated some Jewish traditions, like the breaking of the glass.
"One of the first things Sara ever told me was that she was obsessed with butterflies and hummingbirds," Rue's wedding planner Rachel Hollis also tells Us. "She loves specifically hummingbirds. She had this idea of a vintage inspired garden party and it evolved from there."
Rue, 32, "looked stunning and beyond happy," during the ceremony, a source tells People. "After being pronounced husband and wife, the couple shared two long romantic kisses. The newlyweds danced down the aisle together hand-in-hand to 'Everlasting Love' while guests cheered and clapped."
At the reception, guests were encouraged to play beer pong, which is how Rue and Price, 35, first met. And the newlyweds even made it themselves. "It's a beautiful beer pong table with a net made out of flowers, not a college frat house one," Hollis added.
The beer pong theme carried over to the favors: ping pong paddles in bags with Rue and Price's initials. Inside, there were two balls with the wedding date on them.
And just because she has been on a diet, Rue wasn't going to let that get in the way of indulging a bit on her big day, especially when it came to the two wedding cakes she had made for the reception.
"I'll be having one of each," she told People before the wedding. "Tiny slivers!"
This was the second wedding for Rue, who divorced director/writer Mischa Livingstone in 2007 after six years of marriage. She and Price have been engaged since August 2009.
