Shaquille O'Neal Ends 19-Year NBA Career

After nineteen years of hitting the hardwood, Shaquille O'Neal officially announced his retirement from the NBA earlier today (June 1).

Taking to his Twitter page to reveal his decision, the 39-year-old basketball pro posted a video explaining, "We did it. Nineteen years, baby. I want to thank you very much, that?s why I?m telling you first, I?m about to retire. Thank you, talk to you soon.?

Over the span of his career, Shaq played for the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and most recently the Boston Celtics.

Since his 1992 league debut, the dominant center earned himself an MVP award all the while capturing an impressive four championships.
