Britney surprises 'em in Vegas

Mar 26, 2011

Britney Spears gave more than 1,000 lucky fans a taste of her Big Fat Bass on Friday at Las Vegas's Rain Nightclub in the Palms Casino Resort.

But don't hold it against her if you weren't one of the few in attendance: The twin surprise performances -- which also featured Till the World Ends and, yes, Hold It Against Me -- were shot as part of an MTV special airing next week to celebrate the March 29 arrival of her latest album, Femme Fatale.

Spears last shocked the Rain revelers with an unannounced show back in 2003. This time, however, a new pop phenom was there to warm up the crowd: DJ Pauly D, the Palms' resident spinner.

"We are extremely excited to have one of the most iconic artists of all time back at the Palms," resort owner George Maloof said in a release. "Britney's performances were unbelievable and her fans will never forget this night. We have a great relationship with MTV and feel fortunate to be a part of her upcoming special."
