Jaime Pressly's DUI arrest has damaged the 'My Name Is Earl' actress' reputation, her lawyer says.With a DUI on her record, actress Jaime Pressly isn't smiling about how her mug shot has hurt her career.
After her hearing on Friday, her lawyer, Rich Hutton, told People.com that the 33-year-old actress is "concerned about how the arrest will affect her image because she feels this situation is unjustified. It doesn't represent who she is."
But that doesn't mean Pressly doesn't accept responsibility, he said.
"She takes this [DUI case] very seriously," Hutton told the website. "She's upset, but overall ? aside from this ? she's doing very well."
Pressly was stopped by police in California in January and blew a .22 on a breathalyzer ? nearly three times the legal limit ? TMZ.com reported. The arrest came shortly before she announced she was divorcing her husband of two years, Simran Singh.
"These are all isolated incidents," she told Extra in February.
"I have no problem saying that I'm responsible for my actions. I don't blame anybody else," she added. "I'm also human and never claimed to be perfect.
Pressly is due back in court in May.
