 Larry Bird NCAA College Jerseys

Indiana State Sycamores

Larry Bird starred in the NCAA playing for the Indiana State Sycamores. Initially, Bird attended Indiana University and was overwhelmed by college life. He mentioned that he wasn't ready for the transition and dropped out of school in less than a month.

Larry Bird started making ends meet by going to work for the street department in his home town of French Lick. He repaired the roads, mowed grass, and other community maintenance jobs. In  1978 Bird decided to go to school at Indiana State and play for the Sycamores. During his senior season in 1979 he led the Sycamores to their only NCAA Championship game ever! Their opponent's team was lead by future Hall of Fame Rival Earvin "Magic" Johnson.

Bird finished his college career averaging over 30 points per game and went down in history as one of the greatest college (and NBA pro) ever to play the game. Recapture history, and the Magic of Larry Bird's historic NCAA career playing for the Indiana State Sycamores.
