Lindsay Lohan draws a crowd in Times Square Friday.Lindsay Lohan, taking a break from the courtroom, enjoyed a fun-filled time with family and close friends in New York this week.
The troubled starlet looked refreshed and happy when she was spotted having a late dinner with some girlfriends at Lower East Side hotspot Beauty & Essex Friday night.
When she wasn't glued to her cell phone, Lohan - wearing a silver mini-dress with her blond hair pulled back - was busy chatting with her three friends and dancing to the music of DJ Dimitry.
Earlier in the afternoon, the 24-year-old stopped by Bowlmor Lanes to throw some strikes with her family.
Surrounded by security, Lohan bowled in the private "Chinatown Room" of the luxury bowling alley in Times Square with her sister Ali, brother Michael and a small group of about 10 guests.
The troubled "Mean Girls" star was dressed casually, wearing a blue, short cropped blazer, black shirt and tight blue jeans, with her long blond hair down.
Paparazzi waited outside for her, and inside, an NYPD officer guarded the entrance to her closed-off section.
The private room, sealed off at every entrance, typically can hold over four times the size of Lohan's party.
A handler inside said that it was a family event, and a Bowlmor manager helping with security said he wanted to "protect the privacy" of his "high-profile celebrity" guest.
Lohan looked in good spirits as she and her guests were rushed out of the private room into the elevator.
"Thank you so much," Lohan said to the staff escorting her out.
Lohan was greeted by a dozen photographers outside, before she escaped into her car.
"Just spent the afternoon bowling with my little brother and sister at @bowlmorlanes, Michael's so good ha!" she later tweeted.
Thursday was also a family affair for the actress, who was all smiles as she took in a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.
"With my brothers and my sister at the Knicks game!!! go knicks!! love their green uniforms for st patricks day!" Lohan tweeted.
Sitting in the first few rows, LiLo was very animated as she cheered on her hometown team, which beat the Memphis Grizzlies, 120-99.
The hard-partying actress has been accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a California jewelry store. She must decide by March 25 whether she'll plead guilty to the theft, which would lead to jail time.
