Super Bowl Memories: Garo's Gaffe

With Super Bowl XLIV only days away, we here at OTB are going to take a look back at some of the most memorable moments in Super Bowl history.

Not necessarily in the order of importance but along the lines of Super Bowl Moments that have stood the test of time.

Super Bowl Memories: Garo's Gaffe (Super Bowl VII)

The 1972 Miami Dolphins are known as the only NFL team to end their season undefeated in the Super Bowl era.

However, Super Bowl VII is most known for a Dolphins blunder. Dolphins kicker Garo Yepremian was lining up for a field goal that would have given the Dolphins, a 17-0 lead in the game. (Ironic, because the Dolphins ended their season, 17-0)

Well, the snap was botched and then Garo tried to throw a pass which ended in the hands of Mike Bass for a touchdown for the Redskins.

The Dolphins went onto to win Super Bowl VII and complete the perfect season but they were left without a poetic storyboard ending.
