Super Bowl Memories: David Tyree's "Giant" Catch (Super Bowl XLII)
The real question before Super Bowl XLII was whether or not the New England Patriots would demolish the New York Giants and by how many points.
Well, the absolute opposite happened when the Giants pulled off one of the greatest upset in Super Bowl history.
The defining play of the game was a catch made by Giants wide receiver David Tyree after Eli Manning scrambled away from a would-be sack.
The drive ended in a Plaxico Burress touchdown and the Patriots perfect season went up in smoke.
