Week 12 NFL Prediction Battle Recap

Pats lose big! Saints are still undefeated! Exclamation points!

The Saints looked amazing tonight (especially on that ridiculous Devery Henderson blown coverage play) and the Pats lost. As a Pats fan, I'm sad. As an NFL Predictor, I guess I'm happy? Because this MNF game was the tiebreaker between me and Ben this week, and I came out on top thanks to my choice of the Saints. Hard not to choose the undefeated team, despite my team allegiances (you are a better man than me Ben!).

So this week I (the GSNHOF) went 12-4 (6-4 in the early games, 6-0 after 4pm on sunday), with my incorrect win picks including the NY Giants, Dolphins (really - the Bills?), Panthers, and the Rams (okay, that was a stretch though).

Ben of OTB went 11-5, with incorrect win picks including the Patriots, Raiders, Dolphins, Panthers, and the Jaguars.

That puts the current standings at:
Current Standings
128-48 (72.7%) - Great Sports Name Hall Of Fame
112-64 (63.6%) - Outside The Boxscore (16 Games Back)

Not a bad week for either of us this week, but Ben still falls a game further back in the standings. Not too shabby though, about 70% picking for both of us. I'll take that.

Colin Cowherd Meets Dunk Tank

There are many people that I would love to see dropped into a dunk tank, ESPN's Colin Cowherd is one of them.

On Monday's edition of ESPN SportsNation, they decided to celebrate the Patriots-Saints matchup on Monday Night Football. Although, I still think it is some ploy to have Michelle Beadle dress-up in costumes.

Fans of the show were asked who they would like to see fall into the dunk tank between Colin Cowherd and Michelle Beadle. Cowherd eventually lost and then had to face the consequences. It looked like Schrutebag never had so much fun.

Gemini FULL MOON

Gemini Full Moon
December 2 2:29am EST
December 1 11:29pm PST

As full moons go this one is not too hideous. How about that for a glowing recommendation?

I say that because the Moon is not being beaten up by any other planets. It is just sitting out there on the teeter totter opposite Sun in Sagittarius. Little ol’ Sun in Sag has a nice trine to Mars and a (wide) conjunction with Venus so that is all groovy and fine making the Sun optimistic and willing to put its energy where its mouth is. Great. Of course, the moon over there on the teeter totter will be picking at the Sun in a somewhat constructive way (sort of) ‘don’t forget about that.’ “Don’t forget about this.” Think of a sibling coming around and clucking at you. That is what makes up this full moon. You have an idea about something and someone says, “yeah, but”. Not to negate your idea but more to remind you of something that later will be useful. Trust me, as a Sag I promise you I have had a lot of Gemini’s in my life (mother) and they pick and pick but they do offer us something valuable. If not now, perhaps later.

Of course, Gemini is the grand communicator so we are all feeling a bit more chatty than usual. Gemini rules magazines and fun short stories; it is also neighbors and siblings. This moon favors short trips so if anyone has been dragging their feet about going somewhere and taking care of some business this is the week to go. It will be quick, fun and productive.

Also a great moon to send a note to a friend or reach out in general. Remember the Sun over there with Mars and Venus is helping us look off into the horizon and set our sights on a target. Perhaps a nice conversation with a friend who feels like a sibling will be very helpful getting you to focus on your goal. Of course, some of us will first need to get a goal? If not, now would be the week to consider acquiring one. And certainly in time for the Sag New Moon in a couple weeks. Use this full moon to help get you ready.

Uranus Turns Direct

Our Wacky Friend Uranus Turns direct on Tuesday December 1 3:28pm (EST)

Uranus which has been retrograde for the last six months will turn direct on December 1. Uranus rules revolutions and rebels. It is only about one thing C*H*A*N*G*E.
It likes to communicate but it must do it on a higher frequency. It rules television and the internet. It can speak to the masses beautifully. It is the one-on- one that it short circuits. And now in this cycle where the universe is demanding we find out personal empowerment but at the same time give up stuff and stretch for the group, Uranus is going to go direct. Boys and girls, we must shake off our fear. Even if we don’t make the changes now, we will soon enough and Uranus is going to help. Because you see, once Uranus goes direct it is going to start heading for Aries. Ever since 2003 Uranus has been in Pisces.
But once it turns direct on Tuesday it is heading for Aries and that is a completely different environment. It won’t get there until June but it will start to feel different as soon as it turns direct. It is heading for a place where “I” comes first. Aries are all about themselves and that is okay. How interesting that we are being pushed this month to find this balance between resources and group and at the same time Uranus is leaving the sign of compassion and mystery and heading for personal vision. It is all about number one. And of course once it hits the early degrees of Aries it is going to lock up with the cardinal crosses between five other planets next summer. Perhaps the pressure we are feeling this cycle will help us later next summer. Whatever this energy brings will also be quite unexpected.
If you need a little bit more information---Uranus is turning direct at 23 degrees of Pisces.
Where does that fit in your chart? Is it your first house of Personal Identity? How about your 2nd house of resources and properties? 7th house of relationships?
Wherever it hits prepare for some changes. Remember, Uranus knows it is in the final days of Pisces so he might have some work for you. ........and Me!

Did President John F. Kennedy see a UFO?

This article says he did.

Just a few minutes into the cruise everyone on board the launch (including JFK) were stunned when a disc-shaped object appeared within several hundred feet of their boat. The object was about 60 feet in diameter. The middle was slightly raised and part of a top that was a dull, metallic grayish color. The bottom of the craft was very shiny and hard to look at. There were no noticeable windows or openings. The object seemed noiseless and no signs of obvious propulsion could be seen.
It has also been reported that Kennedy met with UFO contactee George Adamski.

This leads to Adamski's claim that he secretly met with President Kennedy around October 1961 to deliver a message from the “space brothers.” According to Major Pederson, the message contained advise on a world crisis to occur in about a year that was later revealed to be the October 1962 Cuban Missile crisis. If true, the contents of the message may have helped Kennedy develop the right strategy for dealing with a conflict that could easily have escalated into a Third World War. The extraterrestrial message, apparently, also contained an invitation for Kennedy to meet with them in Calfornia.

Mitä tekee Mara kun pitäisi vihdoin aloittaa kemiankokeeseen lukeminen? No tulee tietysti postaamaan.

Kolmipäiväinen viikonloppu sujui mukavasti puolen metrin (no melkein) DVD-pinon antia katsellessa ja marenkeja mussuttaessa (sorruin niitäkin tekemään..).

Piti vielä odotella klo 11.10 bussia, joten kävin kirpparipöytää siivoamassa, ja selvisi yksi kamala juttu siihen liittyen kotiin tullessani: sinne viemämme potkulauta on joko a) varastettu, b) jossain päin kirpparia c) ?. Pitää käydä selvittelemässä tuota asiaa lähipäivinä, koska minä jo ajattelin että jos se ei mene kohta kaupaksi niin haen sen kotiin ja viipotan sillä ensi kesänä pitkin lähiseutuja. 8--) En kestä jos emme saa siitä edes korvausta jos sitä ei löydy. ;__;

Olin liikkeellä tänään tässä asussa:

♥ MCR-paita: Vilulta
♥ huppari & korvikset: H&M
♥ mekko: Seppälä
♥ mustat sukkikset: ?
♥ pipo: kirppis

.__. Isoista kuvista kuitenkin tykkään, joten..

Asettelin tänään ikkunaani pinkit valot, ja innostuin niitä samalla kuvaamaan. Kamera vääristää kyllä tuota väriä, mutta no can do.

Tässä myös kuvia pienemmässä kuvakoossa. Kumpi on teistä perempi? Tietty nämä ylipimeät kuvat näyttävät vielä pahemmilta isoina.

Minulla on vähän ongelmia tämän uuden Bloggerin kanssa, koska en saa kuvia siirreltyä eri kohtiin, vaan jos ne jo kertaalleen laitan tähän tekstikenttään niin en pysty kuvien väliin kirjoittamaan. .__.

;__; Bye bye kynnet. Huomenna ne lyhenevät huomattavasti.

Wanda Sykes Knows What Happened During Tiger's Accident

For those of you that did not know already, Tiger Woods was in a minor car accident over the weekend which pretty much sent most of the world into a tizzy for about three hours.

Well, Woods is fine and I guess by the he's not dead rule, Wanda Sykes is allowed to make fun of it on her FOX show.

Pretty funny, however I think Asian part of Tiger wants to kick Wanda Sykes ass.

There are not enough words to describe the awesomeness of music legend Prince taking in a Minnesota Vikings game but I'll let the picture speak for itself.

Chris Redman/Vince Young Game-Winning TD Passes

For those of you that had Falcons quarterback Chris Redman and Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young in your pool of quarterbacks to lead comeback drives for touchdowns, you probably earned your cash this week.

Redman's chance came after an injury to starter Matt Ryan, Redman's 5 yard touchdown pass to Roddy White keeps the Falcons alive in the playoff hunt out in the NFC.

Vince Young decided to lead a 99-yard touchdown drive that featured three "fourth down" conversions which ended on a game-winning 10 yard pass to Kenny Britt.

I think Bud Adams would like a "Thank You" card, coach Fisher.

Darrelle Revis Wacky Interception Return

It's been a rather forgetable season for Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme where he has thrown 18 interceptions.

Here is one that does not fall on Jake. This pass bounced off the foot of Carolina receiver Steve Smith and into the hands of Jets corner Darrelle Revis.

Yep, it's been that kind of year for Delhomme and Carolina.

Rampage Jackson Fight Scene in "Death Warrior"

Former UFC heavyweight Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is one of the UFC's colorful characters but one this clip should tell you is that he still can kick ass.

This clip from the movie, "Death Warrior" he plays a character names Wolf and "something, something" that white guy gets served for most of it till the end.

Seriously, people fighting to the death for someone's capital gain. Here's looking at you, UFC.

Fantasy Drafthelp: Week 12 NFL Fantasy Advice

Here’s a few standard preface notes:

^ Notwithstanding the claims of any website to be your “home for Sunday morning injury report news,” nothing beats Google News – nothing. Entering a player name into this search engine trumps any other means of gathering information because it culls the data from an unbelievably wide variety of sources.

^ Especially earlier in the season, it’s always good to refer to a strong baseline of where players should have been drafted – and nothing beats FANTASY FOOTBALL DRAFTOLOGY 2009.

^ Unless there are any injury questions, we never discuss “gimme” players. Such core players should be started week in and week out unless there is any question surrounding their playing status. Winning teams only need to worry about “playing the matchups” with one, two or (at the most, during bye weeks) three spots in the lineup. Some websites promise you a crystal ball for how to manage high-risk, high-reward juggling during the season. We don’t. We play the percentages. That approach may be boring, but it’s highly effective and much more intellectually honest in what we promise you.

^ By the way, here are your core players who should not be benched if healthy
QB: Brady, Brees, P Manning, McNabb, Rivers, Rodgers, Romo, Warner
RB: M Barber, R Brown, Forte, Gore, Grant, S Jackson, Jacobs, C Johnson, Jones-Drew, Peterson, Portis, Slaton, Tomlinson, Turner, Westbrook, D Williams
WR: Boldin, Bowe, Colston, Fitzgerald, Jennings, A Johnson, C Johnson, Houshmandzadeh, V Jackson, Marshall, Moss, Ochocinco, S Smith (Carolina), Wayne, R White
TE: Clark, Gates, Gonzalez, Witten

^ Here are the players added to that list since the start of the year:
RB: Benson
WR: Burleson, Driver, S Smith (NY Giants)
TE: H Miller, V Davis

^ And here are the players who were on our list, but have been removed from it:
RB: Lynch
WR: Owens, R Williams

^ Links for each game take you to the CBS Sports home page for each game, with stats, analysis and even video previews.

^ All times listed are EDT.

^ Of the non-gimme players we like this week, the stronger plays are the ones in all caps.

Mercury Square Uranus

Monday November 30, Mercury Square Uranus 2:52 pm (EST)

Twice a year we have a square between Mercury and Uranus. This is that wonky few days where brains and tongues are not working at optimum speed. Our brains are way too fast for our speech. We also can put 2 and 2 together and be WAY off. Sure it looks like a 4 but in about a week you learn that it is 5. The signs involved are Sagittarius and Pisces. Sag has fantastic big ideas about everything. It is not without OPINIONS. And Pisces is dreamy and illusive and hates Opinions since it usually likes to hang out in a grey nebulous area not out front in a bully pulpit. As you can see these two energies are not a good mix.
Where are you mouthing off?
Where are you hiding?
What crazy dreams are you thinking about?
What opinions are you espousing?

This is centered on Monday but we will start to feel it on Saturday and it will dissipate around Wednesday.

Good luck, Gang. If you feel really out there...you are not alone.

Anthropogenic Global Warming Scientists, The New “Flat Earth” Society?

Top UN scientists have been forced to admit that natural weather occurrences are having a far greater effect on climate change than CO2 emissions as a continued cooling trend means there has been no global warming since 1998. But despite overwhelming signs of global cooling - China's coldest winter for 100 years and record snow levels across Northeast America - allied with temperature records showing a decline - global warming advocates still cling to the notion that the world is cooling because of global warming! Anthropogenic Global Warming Scientists, the new “Flat Earth” society?

Last week, a hacker revealed that a group of powerful, government-backed European scientists are controlling the results of developing global warming theory, and preventing clear debate or the development of opposing scientific evidence to AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming). It appears that certain more objective scientists run the risk --- if they present solid evidence contrary to the popular global warming theories --- realize they run the risk of being made objects of ridicule and marginalized in efforts to gain monies from Governments for research projects designed to discover facts ... that lead to the truth.

So on one side we have the “flat earther” powerful old-world scientists … and on the other side we have the “world is round” scientific-method based researchers who are continuing to discover facts … and thereby, the truth.

Powerful forces within the scientific community have been purposely shaping information in order to bolster a concept that, at best, is speculative and seems designed to lead to one human activity that these people think is perfectly suitable for their point-of-view ... a one-world Government, based upon a socialist model of CONTROL. This CONTROL is initially focusing on calling us to “Save the Earth From Destruction”, since a fear-based program is the only way to get free people to forsake their rights and their freedoms in the concept of climate stabilization and saving humanity from imminent destruction.

Krauthammer's Take
On the announcement that President Obama will attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen
NRO Staff, Friday, November 27, 2009

Comments From Wednesday's Fox News All-Star Panel:

The global warming science is not junk science, but it's speculative. It's based on incomplete data. It's based on computer models that rest on assumptions — that, in turn, rest on an understanding of how the globe’s climate controls itself — that [are] extremely incomplete.

So its projections are speculative. But it pretends that, of course, that it is the hardest of all sciences and anybody who is skeptical is a denier — using a term used normally about the Holocaust, which is of course an event that actually happened as opposed to projections in global warming, which are speculative science.

So what you see in the [leaked global-warming] emails are people that are on somewhat shaky grounds. It is not as if there is no science at all in this, but there is contradictory evidence, such as the flattening of the rise in temperatures, which they cannot explain.

And their response is either suppression or manipulation or, even worse, the delegitimizing of — the personal attacks on — skeptics in an attempt to write them out of the journals, to get them fired, and all kinds of nasty stuff. … It puts a lot of their research in question.

I think what's interesting about Obama is he is going to be at the U.N. [conference in Copenhagen] to announce the [new] policy about climate change on the basis of — nothing. He is going to be proposing what the House has passed — that he knows is not going to pass in the Senate.

And we are actually a constitutional democracy where the president can't announce a policy unilaterally. It actually has to pass the two houses of the Congress, and our allies abroad know that, and they’re going to look at this announcement he is going to make and think it … extremely strange.
Reference Here>>

The United States has established no formal policy, yet our President, if allowed to do so, will gladly sign away our sovereignty in order to achieve the socialist political objectives of control found in the Copenhagen accords.

Further, scientists and Government forces who choose to use or believe in their conclusions that the Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) is a fact, are no better than previous generations of leaders in their insistence that this Oblate Spheroid (the actual shape of the Earth) is flat. These people should be known from this moment forward as ... "Flat-Earthers"!

From The Free Dictionary:

1) flat-earth·er (flatûrther)
n.

One who stubbornly adheres to outmoded or discredited ideas: "If you don't accept the ideas derived from Adam Smith ... then you are [considered] a flat-earther" (James Fallows).

[From the long-discredited belief that the earth is flat.]

2) flat-earther
n.

Informal
- a person who does not accept or is out of touch with the realities of modern life

Waterloo at the Fed

Mary Plumb has put up a short article on aspects hitting the Federal Reserve chart. We have discussed this a few times but Mary offers up a lot of other thinks that many of you might find very interesting.

Mountain Astrologer on the Newstand!

The New Mountain Astrologer arrived at my house a few weeks ago but I was so busy I didn't have a chance to even crack it until last week. And as always it is pure joy to read. When I read the Magazine I usually poke around, first the cover story "Oh, I'll go for that Water Article first." then usually the interview with a famous astrologer (in this case Alice Howell) and then slowly the rest of the featured articles and the regular columns. For me, it is my perfect gym material. I go to the climbing stair thingy and plop my Mountain Astrologer and the time flies! And to make my legs and ass move that hard and it is 40 minutes later and I don't even realize....well, that should tell you the power of Mountain Astrologer articles.
The Water article is scary. I ain't going to tell you differently. Raye Robertson has written exhaustively about the history of water in the last hundred years referring to both the astrological aspects and the politics. The emphasis is (of course) on outer planet cycles starting with Neptune and Pluto in 1891 through the new Jupiter Saturn cycle in 2020. Using the Sibley chart for the United states there are some real track able astrological events. And next year's Saturn Return in the Sibley chart is another bell ringer for those of us who have quietly sat off in the city, blogging away, living our lives wondering to ourselves, "What is my son going to do for fresh water when he grows up?" Are now saying, "Wait a minute, it is not just my son's future, way off years from now.....it is my future too, and it is now!" "Hello, Telluride Colorado Realtor--I'll take ten acres with a well."
The interview with Alice Howell is inspiring. Her breadth and knowledge of Jungian Astrology is well known and I read her book "Jungian Symbolism in Astrology" many years ago. Now having read the interview I am dying to get her book "Astrological Ages". I didn't realize she went all the way back to the Cancer Age. I think the most I have ever read covers Pisces, Aries and Taurus. I would be fascinated to see what she says about life on Earth during Gemini cycle and Cancer. One thing I loved about Alice's story is that her life in astrology took quite a serpentine path. She found it when she was a teenager, relished it in her twenties, then she got married raised her children and then went back to her astrology with new zest once her children were out of the house. She was in her 50's when she wrote about astrology for the first time. I love that story!!!! It is a beautiful article for those of us who have little ones at home but still have dreams and visions.
For sport I read Dana Gerhardt's "The Noisy birds of Sagittarius". I say for sport because I am a Sag and naturally when I first started reading astrology (13) I went for my own sun sign. Once I really learned about astrology I skipped the general sun sign articles and went for the pieces that has more in depth astrology. A Saturn in Sag is so much more fun to read than a Sun in Sag. But I gotta say, Dana brings in a nice little twist to MY sign. Especially when she talks about all the changes that happened to the world with the transits by Pluto, Neptune, Uranus in the last twenty years. The way she laid it out is very compelling.
Uranus was in Sagittarius from 1981 to 1988, sending a
rebellious, iconoclastic surge through out the decade. Disco gave way to
punk--an intense and frenetic inversion of Sagittarius optimism. Rap, a preachy
musical genre was born as well. The rapper with the sparkly gold
chains was another Sagittarius avatar.
I am about to dive into Shelley Ackerman's article "Saturn to the Eighth Power: A Look Ahead to America's Eight Saturn Return". God knows we have had our asses kicked with Pluto's move into Capricorn I can only guess what is next with a big fat Saturn Return for the US.
Anyway, if you have not read Mountain Astrologer now is the time to hit the newsstands and get one. It is chocked full of well written astrological pieces. And of course Stephanie Austen writes her own beautiful Lunar articles.
Also, if you can't buy the magazine at a local bookstore then go here to purchase them individually or maybe give yourself a year's subscription for Christmas!

THAT'S Why...

I've really never been one to worry about my age. Other than the limitations of my body, I have always thought age was 'just a number.' Most of the time I don't mention my age because almost all of the people I 'talk' with online are younger than me--and I don't want to be dismissed as 'that old lady.' ;) So, why have I been so obsessed with my age lately? I finally figured it out: my birthday was coming up. And that day is today. I decided to end my constant age talk with today's post. And now I present you with: Things I Am Older Than and Things That Are Older Than Me.

Things I Am Older Than:
  1. Disneyland
  2. MTV and (basically) every artist that is on there
  3. NASA
  4. CNN
  5. Facebook, Twitter, the internet, Apple, and Microsoft

Things That Are Older Than Me:
  1. CBS (the TV network)
  2. legalized gambling in Las Vegas
  3. the pyramids of Egypt
  4. dirt
  5. the Rolling Stones

And now, for the first time ever online, I will reveal my age. On this day, 28 November 2009, I am celebrating my 55th birthday. I REALLY feel old writing that. :D

(I have a 'hockey version' of this post over at my other blog.)

'Bank Slate: Sarah Palin's Fake Pregnancy

I allege that Sarah Palin, while in office as Governor, faked a pregnancy. She told the public she was pregnant, when she was not. In the final days of her "pregnancy" she wore a fake pregnancy suit, including wearing a fake pregnancy suit to a Republican Governor's Convention.

Interview with an Oswald witness - Patricia Puckett Hall was 11 when she met Lee Harvey Oswald. Read here.

One autumn day in 1963, her two younger brothers got into a scuffle in the front yard where Johnson's grandchildren, who lived six blocks away, spent most of their free time.

A roomer witnessed the roughhousing and stepped in.

Hall, then 11, watched as he sat the boys on the porch, one on each side of him.

"I want to tell you something really important," Hall heard the slender young man say. "I want you to listen. You're brothers. You have to look out for each other."

Then, "don't ever do anything to harm another human being."

James Douglass, author of JFK and the Unspeakable, is interviewed for about an hour here. His book is one of the best on the subject and one of the very few that put the assassination into an historical, political and spiritual perspective.

Hey!

Vilu muuten linkkasi minulle tämän mahtavan tekeleen, jonka joku on tehnyt.

Sain Allulta taas lainaan Sinkkuelämää-tuotantokauden, tällä kertaa vitosen. Lisäksi on lainassa kirjastosta myös joku animaatio Valiant, ja ihana The Day After Tomorrow, jossa on hottis Jake Gyllenhaal.

Tulipa taas jauhettua, ehkä seuraavaksi alan jauhamaan iltapalaa ja katsomaan Salkkareita.

VenusSquareNeptune-HappyThanksgiving

Today, Thursday November 26 at 9:53a (EST) Mercury Trines Mars
Of course, in the United States we all celebrate Thanksgiving today and with a Mercury Trine Mars we will have the focus to get a lot done this morning. I know I felt the energy when I woke up at 5am ready to hit the market. Of course 5 am is too early for my local Whole Foods but I did take the energy to write some emails and take on a couple of work tasks. I love Mercury/Mars trines, it is a great day where my brain and my actions are in synch.
And for what it is worth, although this aspect is exact today, we started feeling it a couple days ago. I know for me, I threw an event yesterday that was a ton of work and involved a lot of logistics and a lot of volunteers and it came off without a hitch. I actually thought to myself..'How did that happen?" and I am CONFIDENT it was the Mercury Trine Mars.
I hope you can use the focus to take care of anything you need to do. I'm sure some of you are focused on preparing a meal...but if you are not cooking today, seriously take this energy and tackle something that needs your attention. Your brain and your muscles are totally in synch!
later in the day Venus Squares Neptune 7:15pm (EST) and of course we have been building towards this one all week. I will say that this has been also evident in my own life. I don't want to go into details but there is an old saying, "The unstable mind dominates". What that means is you can take a room full of monks, mediating and chanting totally at peace and if you send in crazy foul mouth swearing (often smelly) person--no one will be aware of the peaceful monks, they will only see the crazed person swearing. Well, ask yourself, during this week did those Unstable Minds get a wee bit louder and a bit more of your attention than usual? Blame this aspect. It all has to do with personal love (venus) and humanitarian love (neptune) being at odds. Where do I feel unloved? Why do I feel alone? and a wee bit of , "Is that all there is to life?' vibes. And always, "what's going on with my money?" --which is so Venus.
Of course the fact that this is happening today on Thanksgiving makes me want to give warning...if someone gets drunk at Thanksgiving, make sure they have a safe ride home. Make sure that you don't personalize anything said today. The crazy wire that is in all of us might have a bit more juice in it today.
Try to be reasonable.
And remember, one scoop of stuffing is probably enough.
Happy Thanksgiving!
