Britney Spears is back on top of the charts with her new hit "Hold It Against Me" and definitely wants the world to know that she's ready to reclaim her place as the princess of pop.
"The b*itch is back and better than ever," Spears says in the new issue of V magazine.
The 29-year-old also boasts that her latest album, Femme Fatale, "speaks for itself."
"I worked really hard on it and spent almost two years recording it," she says. "I think it’s the best album I have ever made. There's nothing to say."
Still, Brit has some idea of how and when we should be listening to her new tunes.
"I wanted to make a fierce dance record where each song makes you want to get up and move your body in a different way," Spears explains. "That's what I want from the music I listen to. This record is for the clubs, or something you play before you go out at night. It's definitely my edgiest and most mature sound yet."
Firmly expressing that her latest project is both an "evolution" and a "revolution," Spears says the album "expresses where I am today as a woman and is an evolution of who I am."
Still not clear about who that woman might be? Britney spells it out, saying a femme fatale is a woman "who is sexy and strong, dangerous and mysterious, cool and confident."
Watch out!
