To be brutally honest, we stunk the joint up last week. When you go, 0-4 for the Divisional Round, it's pretty tough to ignore that.
The Great Sports Name Hall of Fame has already clinched the playoff prediction pick em' title as well. So many of you out there might say, "What do I have to play for?"
Three Words: Live to Win!
Here are my predictions for the Championship Games:
AFC Championship Game: Jets vs. Colts
Let's be honest, not even the most optimistic Jets fan thought that they would make it to this point. Rex Ryan and Darelle Revis "Island" have pretty much shut-down two of the most high-power offenses in the league.
However, Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts are s completely different entity and let's be honest, if they didn't pull their starters, they probably would have cruised to a win against New York in week 16.
The Jets appear to be the hottest team left in the playoffs and it would seem to most fans that they might be able to pull of one more upset. However, conventional misdom would say take the Colts due to Manning & Company.
As much as it pains me to go against Peyton Manning, Sexy Rexy will be getting the Gatorade dump this Sunday.
Prediction: Jets over Colts
NFC Championship: Saints vs. Vikings
The Saints are hosting their first Conference Championship game in team history and it's nice to see a team that was on the verge of being moved to Los Angeles fight for that city.
That guy Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings come into with the demons of Minnesota past but if one player can get them past it, it's Brett Favre.
The Saints have an incredible offense with a spectualar running attack but the Vikings have a great run defense with the Williams brothers leading the crew. The Vikings pass rush will probably hassle, "Mr. Brees" and we all know the last time that Brees had to deal with a great pass rushing team, The Cowboys in week 15. Guess how that turned out?
One thing to watch for in this game is the turnover margin, the team that wins it will probably be booking a trip to the Super Bowl.
This prediction is tough but how can I go against, Guy who sung "Pants on the Ground"
Prediction: Vikings over Saints
