Julianne and Derek Hough are both friendly with Cheryl Cole
Simon Cowell is expected to confirm the US X Factor judges any day now, but reports suggest Derek Hough's sister Julianne has had a last-minute audition with Fox TV bosses for a role on the show.
Bosses reckon the 22-year-old - who is dating American Idol host Ryan Seacrest - will come across well on TV.
'Julianne looks fantastic on camera and has quite a high profile in the States,' says a source.�
Derek's close pal Cheryl ?Cole, 27, is thought to be keen on the idea after apparently securing her own place on the panel.�
'She would love Julianne to be involved as they've met through Derek,' the source tells the Daily Mirror. 'She'd like a friendly face on board.'
Singer-songwriter Jesse McCartney, 25, is also rumoured to be in the running to become a judge. �
'Simon believes Jesse has the right look for the show,' adds the source. 'He would appeal to both grans and young girls.'
