The Palin Pick
John McCain's pick of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is a mind-boggling act of desperation and shows poor judgement.
First, for a candidate who happens to be the oldest man ever to run for the office, and one with a history of cancer at that, to select someone younger and less-experienced than Barack Obama does make one wonder just what was he thinking. Does John McCain think that former Hillary supporters will vote for him because he picked a pro-life VP who happens to be a woman?
Second, for John McCain to select as his running-mate someone who is currently under investigation for abusing her office again makes one wonder just what was he thinking. Now she is innocent unless proven guilty, and she may well be innocent, but couldn't McCain find someone who is not being investigated for something? But then he is a Republican.
