With the recent lack of success for the Washington Redskins under the quarterbacking of Donovan McNabb, former players, analyst and coaches have been rather unkind to Donovan in the media for the past couple days.
ESPN analyst Antonio Pierce decided to take it another step further by calling him an "escape goat".
I think he meant "scape goat":
