You have to love a town that calls this a community park. These pics were taken a few hundred metres from the CBD.
And this is the new hospital that thankfully doesn't look like one. I think the locals fought pretty hard to keep this land public when the hospital was built recently. I like the design and materials because to me it is Australian - sitting lightly on the ground and unpretentious.
The walk does a circuit over the river and this old style jarrah bridge, which offers plenty of pissing opportunities for one boy-poodle.
And past the agricultural school's sheep (I think) I love seeing them so close to town.
Running away from the poodles here because everyone knows that a small toy poodle is higher up the food chain than a sheep - Hermyne (black poodle) is still trying to figure out how they can bring one down.
But I am a little concerned, because markers wih fluorescent pink tape have appeared recently and I am guessing that the park will eventually be neatened up and landscaped. Why can't they just leave things alone sometimes.
