The NHL: Where Players Pull Out Their Own Teeth Happens

Recently, I read an article about a poll that said that almost 50% of people were scared to visit the dentist with a dental problem. I'm not sure if Washington Capital Eric Belanger was or not but he decided to take his own dental health into his own hands.

In game five of their playoff series with the Montreal Candiens, Belanger took a high-stick to the face from Montreal's Marc-Andre Bergeron. Belanger eventually made his way back to the Capitals bench and was looked at by their athletic trainer.

During the look-over, Belanger and the trainer noticed that a tooth was dislodged by Bergeron's high-stick. Belanger, in ultimate tough-guy fashion, decided to do away with the tooth altogether by pulling it out himself.
