Armanti Edwards and a Lawn Mower

Whenever there is a story with a lawnmower involved, usually bad things are bound to come from it. Appalachian State QB Armanti Edwards will be out for the next two to four weeks because of a injury he received from a lawnmower.

We get more news from the Charlotte Observer:

Appalachian State quarterback Armanti Edwards, a three-time All-American, will miss two to four weeks after injuring his right foot mowing the lawn at his off-campus residence Wednesday.

Teammate and roommate Brian Quick transported Edwards, a senior, to Watauga Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

Medical privacy laws prevent the university from releasing details about the injury, Appalachian State spokesman Mike Flynn said.

The Mountaineers will open practice today, and the first game is Sept. 5 against rival East Carolina.

Yep, Armanti Edwards suffered an injury when a lawnmower went over his right foot. That has to hurt on some level but thankfully he was not injured further.

If you remember Edwards was the quarterback when Appalachian State pulled off that upset of #5 Michigan. If you don't, here is a refresher course of the upset.
