Did the MLB All-Star game happen?

Well, the 80th annual MLB All Star Game pretty much ended before it even began. The game lasted for a total of 2 hours and a 31 minutes, the American League continued the streak of not losing an All Star game since 1996. The final score in this one was AL 4, NL 3.

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Carl Crawford took home the MVP as he robbed Brad Hawpe of a solo home run that would have given the NL a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the 7th. In the bottom half of the 8th, a Curtis Granderson triple followed by an Adam Jones sacrifice fly gave the American League the winning run.

One of the major stories was Obama's first pitch, which Fox botched (Lebron would have been proud). Then the game decided to drag on until Carl Crawford robbed Brad Hawpe of that homerun. Mariano Riviera closed the door on the NL and pretty much rapped up the most boring All-Star game ever.

Are there any moments that we are going to remember from it? Prince Fielder winning the HR Derby? Nope. Nelly making a diving catch at the Taco Bell Celebrity game? Nope. The actual game itself? Nothing really.

All in all, Major League Baseball's All Star Weekend ended up starting with the most memorable moment from the XM Futures game. The 4 hour rain delay.
