Remember the kid’s show, “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?” Well, the Chicago White Sox are having their the home game with pitcher Bartolo Colon as the star.
Colon who is currently rehabbing with the White Sox’s triple AAA team is supposed to make a start on Thursday. The only problem is the White Sox have no idea where Bartolo Colon is. This story has almost become a venerable “Where’s Waldo?”
Colon current numbers with the White Sox for this season is a 4.23 ERA and has a record of 3-6 out of 11 starts. He was placed on the disabled list on June 9th due to inflammation in his left knee. Chicago White Sox General Manager Kenny Williams gave a quote about the Colon situation:
"I know where he is supposed to be right now. He's supposed to be in Charlotte, preparing to start Thursday," White Sox GM Ken Williams said Tuesday, according to the Chicago Tribune. "Efforts to contact his agent have been successful. Their efforts to contact their client have not been so successful."
Well, it appears at this point the million dollar question is, “Where in the World is Bartolo Colon?” I wonder if ACME is on the case?
