Who will lead the Nationals now?, Manager Manny Acta to be fired

The Washington Nationals currently have the worst record in Major League Baseball at 26-61 and it appears that their manager Manny Acta will be out the door. Sources from ESPNDeportes.com and SI.com say that the Nationals have fired or are planning to fire Acta.

It is believed that Nationals bench coach Jim Riggleman will be the interim manager. Riggleman has managed with the Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, and the Seattle Mariners.

Acta’s record with the Nationals was 148-234, which translates to an anemic 38% winning percentage. I have a feeling that Acta probably is in a better mood that he does not have to coach this mockery of a team.

There is a list of the worst teams in MLB history and we might add the 2008-2009 Nationals to the list. Thankfully Acta will not have to see the rest of this season from the bench.
