Plaxico Burress indicted on felony gun charges

Plaxico Burress will have to go to trial after all. Burress was indicted on felony gun charges which stemmed from an incident in November when Burress shot himself in a night club and did not report the incident to police.

Burress's teammate Antonio Pierce was cleared of any charges stemming from the incident by the grand jury and at this point will not face any charges in the criminal trial. This means that Burress could possibily serve jail time if he is found to be guilty of felony gun charges.

NFL comissioner Roger Goodell has not yet commented whether or not Plaxico is eligible to play in the NFL for this season. However, I do not expect any sympathy from the "Law and Order" comissioner on this one.

In the end, we all learned one thing from this incident, never wear sweatpants to the club.
