It's of Butler's live mascot Butler Blue II, who is an actual English Bulldog that attends many sporting events at Butler along with the costumed Butler Bulldog mascot.
The on-air host for the CBS Early Show was doing a piece with the mascots of the Final Four. In his hand, he held a Michigan State Spartans hat for the lack of the Michigan State Mascot. While he was presenting Blue II, Blue II decided to go after the hat.
Maybe Butler should have substituted Blue II in the National Championship game, he would played some tenacious defense on Kyle Singler.
