Back in the year of 1998, 13th seed Valparaiso faced off against the 4th ranked Ole Miss Running Rebels in the Midwest bracket in the first round.
Valpo and Ole Miss battled to the end but Bryce Drew who missed the first game winning attempt came back and hit the winner. Valpo pulled the stunning 70-69 victory and moved on in the tournament where they made it to the Sweet Sixteen before losing to Arkansas.
