For this March Madness Memory, we flashback to 2003 in the first round which pitted the third-ranked Maryland Terrapins versus the 14th ranked Seahawks of UNC-Wilmington.
The Terrapins were fresh off of a National Championship and the Seahawks appeared to play spoiler for the second year in a row. With less than five seconds left, Maryland was down 73-72.
Then guard Drew Nicholas saved the day with a off-balance three point shot to stun UNC Wilmington, 75-73.
The lasting image of this moment is UNC-Wilmington coach Brad Brownell collapsing after the game-winner as Nicholas runs off into the distance.
