When I originally started this blog, I thought that it was a nice side venture to keep myself involved with the world of sports while making sure I was still able to write in complete sentences. However, the site has substantial grown since then and our writing staff has grown with it.
Originally when I heard that ESPN's Sportcenter was doing this thing called "Blog Buzz," I figured it was a nice way to show the popular stories of the day and give some higher ranking blogs some love.
Yesterday, I heard about the ongoing saga of Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings about his possibility of returning to the NFL. Then I read a story written by Matt Clapp of Sharapova's Thigh about his comments that Brett Favre was "America's Biggest Drama Queen."
As I was thinking about how to write the article about Favre, I thought back to my time in college and watching the movie Halloween on Halloween with a friend. The connection became obvious after that. Here is the article if you want to read it.
I did not really think anything of it till today when I decided to check out the ESPN Sportcenter "Blog Buzz" for today and I saw my written words on the screen along with Josh Elliot stating them for the record.
"He’s the NFL’s version of Michael Myers from Halloween. Every time we assumed that Michael Myers died, he just kept coming back."
(Celebrated for a full fifteen minutes and still celebrating as we speak)
At this time I would to thank some people in no particular order for helping me with the site and linking our stories:
->Me (Without Me, It would not have been possible)
->Tim Dustin (Spastikmooss on the site)
->Sean Nagamatsu (Snagamat on the site)
->Rick Morris from FDH Lounge
->Matt Clapp from Sharapova's Thigh
->Mark Schiralli from A Stern Warning
->Ethan Jaynes from NESW Sports
->Andrew Feinstein from Denver Stiffs
->and most of all, Brett Favre for being Brett Favre
Plus the many other people who have impacted my life (whose names I will not reveal since I do not want them to be under the guise of identity theft) and other sports bloggers that I have been in touch with that I have forgotten to mention.
There is only one way I know how to celebrate: One-Liners from CSI Miami, Enjoy!
