With Tiger Woods returning to professional golf this week for the Masters, I had a feeling that Nike would trot out a Tiger Woods advertisement.
However, I didn't expect something this weird. Essentially, the advertisement itself is just a close-up of Tiger Woods with a voice-over accompanying it.
The voice heard during the commercial is of Tiger's father, Earl Woods where he asks Tiger about his feelings, current thinking and did he learn anything. I'm not sure how they got the audio, whether they cut it from a prior interview or just audio-mixed a voice-over to sound like his father.
Nike did not comment if this commercial was inferring about Tiger's recent transgressions but I can't help to think that wasn't the target of it at least.
All in all, it's a rather strange commercial from Nike but in the end, we get another view of Tiger Woods.
