My view that life as we know it on this planet will continue to devolve is not a new one for me and of course not even original. Although never that well versed in history, since I was quite young I have been acutely aware that empires rise and fall, because my apocalyptic dreams have reminded me.
A little while ago I did a blog called Apocalypse Soon(ish) in which I finally admitted defeat and decided simply to accept the state of the world, with the full intention also to refrain from 'tilting at windmills'. I believe that I have largely stuck to that plan but old habits die hard and remnants of outgrage still burst through - but not today.
The growth of systems on the planet started out as intimate discrete units and civilisation has evolved from small tribal groups to larger social networks. Like reversing fractals, life has un-spiralled upwards and outwards, expanding, like the solar system in which we spin, still being created. Things like the 'world economy' and the 'internet' are real clues as to how far this cycle has been pushed. I don't know exactly when it started to retract, no doubt some astrologer will - my views are subjective and largely intuitive - but we are now on the downward trajectory and have been for some time. The latest GFC was an undeniable signal that shivered through a large proportion of the global population.
Basically, we are in a cycle of retraction and everything is as it should be. I have felt it but it has taken me a life-time to accept, which no doubt also reflects my mature status as one physically on the way off the planet, and also hoping but not expecting to be, out of this solar system. This planet is 'earth', the element of the physical realm, body, material things and we are all here doing exactly what we should be doing, at different stages of the journey within the parameters of our incarnations. We can't 'fix' the things we know we need to because the systems we are trying to work with are too big to hold, in our minds, in our hands, I don't really think we can or are even meant to.
I don't adhere to theories about aliens and other civilisations on other planets, I think they just tap into our own psychic projections about the 'other' and model worlds similar to our own. But I do strongly believe that there are, and have had glimpses of, other realms of existence, ones that are con-current and co-existent, right 'here', but 'not here' in the physical realm. I can't say with any conviction that that is where I am 'going', I think I have much more work to do yet, and there is obviously no 'place' to 'go' anyway - but for now, for today, it is enough to be here in this very interesting time.
