The second installment of Duke-UNC happened last night as UNC pulled out the victory 101-87.
Out of all the storied college basketball rivalries, Duke and UNC has been among the top and to be honest, I seem to become less and less interested.
It is possible that Duke and North Carolina have only combined for 2 national championships in the past ten years and the rivarly was created by the entity of ESPN and Dick Vitale.
The parity of college basketball has added to the decline of this rivalry since the regular season of college basketball seems to matter as long as you make the NCAA tournament.
Overall UNC has shown recently that the two headed monster of Ty Lawson and Tyler Hansborough is going to be tough to stop. However, the difference from a UNC team this year and last year are two completely differen entities.
The only thing that really keeps this rivalry fresh is the insanity of the Cameron Crazies. There is still nothing funnier than comparing mupper Beaker to Tyler Hansborough.
In the end, the games will still be played and maybe one day we can finally put this rivalry out to pasture. Now I present....Beaker singing "Feelings"
