The NBA trade deadline is coming up soon and here are the current deals that have been made and some rumors.
->New Orleans Hornets center Tyson Chandler is on the move to Oklahoma City as the Thunder acquired him for the Joe Smith, Chris Wilcox, and the draft rights to DeVon Hardin. The deal is currently be talked about as a cap cutting move on New Orleans part due to the current stat of the American economy.
->Boston Celtics guard Sam Cassell has been traded from the Celtics to the Sacramento Kings for a second round pick.
This deal is being talked about as being made due to the NBA luxury tax since the second round pick that Boston receives is heavily-protected by the Kings.
->Rumor: The New Jersey Nets and Houston Rockets are currently stalled in a trade that would send Vince Carter and Trenton Hassell to the Rockets and Tracy McGrady to the Nets.
The deal is currently stalled due to McGrady’s contract. McGrady is set to make twenty-two million dollars in 2009-2010.
->Rumor: The three-team deal that would send Chris Bosh to Chicago and Amare Stoudamire to Toronto appears to be dead for now.
The deal was talked about as a rumor in the Chicago Sun Times, Chicago in the deal would have traded the expiring contract of Drew Gooden, Tyrus Thomas, and a possible pick.
->Rumor: The Cleveland Cavaliers are talking with the Washington Wizards about forward Antawn Jamison.
