Well looks like Manny Ramirez is going back where he came from.
To the Dodgers, that is.
Today Manny finally, after months and months, agreed to a two year 45 million dollar deal. There's an opt out clause after year one and it also necessitates that he donate $1 million to the Dodgers Dream Foundation. Happy ending to a long drawn out story. Somewhere in America Juan Pierre is crying. Because he sucks. Manny is really good and Pierre sucks.
In more news showing that you can go home again, Kurt Warner i s again a Cardinal and Ray Lewis is again a Raven, both claiming for life. Warner's deal is 2 year $23 million, Ray's is 3 years $22 million (isn't that weird?) and both guys are probably right that they won't switch teams since they're both really really old. But good to see them returning to places they've excelled, and I'd love to see a Cardinals-Steelers Super Bowl next year (which is pretty doubtful because the Steelers/Patriots/Colts are damn good but hey, you never know).
Finally, the Denver Broncos signed Lamont Jordan and (officially) JJ Arringon today. They now have those two plus Correll Buckhalter, Selvin Young, Andre Hall, Peyton Hillis, and Ryan Torain at RB. So...what gives? At first I was a fan of McDaniels' Broncos for cutting a lot of dead weight and signing guys like Gaffney and Dawkins. But three middling RBs and a QB controversy later, I'm not so sure. Still looking like the Chargers division to win next year.
Reunited and it feeeels so goooooood
