This was sad day for you if you were a Tony Kornheiser fan on Monday Night Football since he has officially been replaced by former Raiders/Buccaneers head coach John Gruden.
Kornheiser in a press release stated that a "fear of flying" was the reason for him stepping down. However, that seems more an attempt at comedy on Kornheiser's part instead of being shown the boot.
Gruden did a solid job on the NFL Network's 2009 NFL Draft coverage and will be a welcomed edition to the group but it will be interesting to have Gruden and Ron Jaworksi in the same booth. However, I will miss the banter of Tony Kornheiser.
