Manny, Manny, Manny...
Yesterday Manny Ramirez rejected a one year-$25 million dollar offer from the Dodgers. And I just can't get my head around why (other than Manny is crazy and Scott Boras is insane). I get it's not a multi-year contract...but in this shitty economy what does he expect?
So there are rumors that maybe the Nationals wanted him. Nope. Mets Not really. Yankees, they always have money right? Not even close.
So where could he go? The other big money team, Boston, has a zillion OFs and an awkward Manny past. The Angels have at least 3 starting OFs...don't really need much more. So it's looking like the Giants and the Dodgers. I don't see the Dodgers offering a whole ton more...so maybe Manny wasn't kidding when he said he might retire this year if he doesn't get any good offers. For shame...I'm hoping he wises up and signs so we can see him kill the ball for the Dodgers (or get intentionally walked a lot for the Giants).
