Montana Punches Unlikely Tournament Ticket

The NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament hasn't even started yet and we already have a march memory to live by.

The Montana Grizzlies faced off against the Weber State Wildcats in the championship game for the Big Sky Conference. It appeared that Weber State would be punching their ticket to the dance as they led at the half by twenty-two points.

Then suddenly, Montana's leading scorer Anthony Johnson who had only scored four points in the first half caught fire and scored the final 21 points for Montana in their 66-65 victory.

Johnson ended his day with a Big Sky Tournament Record of 42 points and led Montana to one of the most improbable wins in Big Sky Tournament history.

Johnson's story is even more incredible since he had all but gave up on his hoop dreams back in 2005 until his future wife Shaunte transferred to a Tacoma community college to play on the women's team and asked for Johnson to get his chance on the men's team. Johnson made good on his opportunity and eventually transfered with his wife to play basketball at the University of Montana.

Johnson story and the Montana Grizzlies will continue onward to the NCAA tournament where the ending have still yet to be written.

Matt Cline got JACKED UP!

I have a feeling that most people did not tune into watch the FCS championship semi-final between the Montana Grizzlies and Appalachian State. However, you missed out on one of the biggest hits that I have seen in a football game.

Appalachian State's Matt Cline caught a sideline route from Armanti Edwards and then turned himself up the field.

Then he had a meeting with Montana cornerback Keith Thompson.
