Ray Lewis Not a Raven? Not if Steve Biscotti's Wife has anything to say about it

I was looking at NFL.com's Around the Web today and found this little gem about Ray Lewis. Apparently New York and Dallas papers are writing about the future Hall of Fame linebacker, pondering how great their defenses would be with this beast of a man in the middle. But Steve Biscotti, Ravens Owner, recently responded to these claims:

"I’ve been hopeful forever that we’re going to work [out] a deal,” Bisciotti said. “Last year, I said I don’t think that other people are going to value Ray Lewis higher than we do. He’s showing at 33 that he’s capable of playing like a 28-year-old. I’ve got my wife on budget already to try to save some money so we can sign him.”

Looks like it'll be Ramen and Mac and Cheese for a while in the Biscotti household. Here's to hoping Ray stays in Baltimore, especially in an offseason where we may see LT switch teams.

These people are freakin me out

Tuntuu että postausväli aina vaan kasvaa, kun ei ikinä tapahdu mitään jännää. Tämäkin viikko meni vaan normisti koulussa, ja kotona olenkin sitten vain datannut ja lukenut yrittäjän oikeustaitokokeeseen joka oli eilen. Maanantaina tuli muuten kirjastolta viesti, että Stephenie Meyerin Epäilys -kirja oli jo nyt palautettu sinne. Luulin että pääsisin lukemaan sitä vasta jossain helmikuussa, mutta sentään jotain hyvää tässkin viikossa. :) Eilen tai tänään tuli myös Demi, joten pääsen sitäkin illalla lukemaan, vaikka sen piti ilmestyä vasta ensiviikolla...
Pieni varoituksen sana muuten: minulla on rästissä viisi päivänasua, joten kuvia minusta tulossa vähintään 589489. 8-----))

No mutta tässä maanantain asu. Pystyin laittamaan hameen jei. Oli muuten se tuote-esittely sillon, esittelin mun Wet'n'Wildin pinkin huulipunan jota mulla oli just maanantaina huulissakin. :D

Olin aiemmin nähnyt ainakin jollain vaatemyyjällä yhdet helmet laitettuna tuollein toispuoleisesti, mutta minun piti taas viedä koko homma uudelle tasolle, joten laitoin sitten kahdet eri helmet ja mustat kiepsautin vielä kerran pään yli. On niin piristävää keksiä jotain uusia tapoja käyttää jotain ihan normeja juttuja, kuten esimerkkinä kauluspaidan käyttö tunikana.

Ää keskiviikkona oli huono hiuspäivä, kun nää alkaa olemaan osaks ylipitkät + huonot latvat, kun kävin kampaajalla viimeks elokuussa! Ei ihmekkään kun alkaa olla kakshaarasia... Ja otsahiusten jälkeen olevat hiukset (XD) yrittää aina tunkee mun otsiksen päälle. Myös otsis on kamala nykyisin. Siksi pitääkin varata ensiviikon jälkeiselle viikolle kampaaja-aika, kun ensiviikolla en varmaan kerkeä käydä siellä kolmen kokeen takia. :(

Twilight leffa uli vasta tänäiltana kaupunkiimme, ja olisin sitä Allun kanssa mennyt katsomaan jos he eivät olisi lähteneet sinne Hesaan. :( Olisimme siinä samalla viettäneet samalla synttäreitäni, jotka on siis sunnuntaina! Silloin siis täytän tasan klo 14:00 16w. 8)) Harmi vaan että ei juhlita niitä tänäkään vuonna sitten muuten kun että huomenna tulee kummit ja heidän lapset eli serkkuni Katja ja Riikka meille. No onneksi sentään näen heitä. :P Ajattelin että voisimme katsoa Paavo Pesusieni leffan kun se on niin hyvä. 8)) Ensiviikolla on kyllä pakko päästä katsomaan se Houkutus, kun nyt olen lukemassa jo kolmatta kirjaakin siitä sarjasta.

Mutta nyt jatkan Duudsoneiden katsomista, oli niin hyvä jakso viimeviikollakin. ;D

Clean Air Adds Half Of One Year – Almost

The cleaning up of particulate air pollution brought on through emissions from automobiles, factories, aerosols, smoking and etc. has yielded citizens of the United States an extension of 21 weeks in the average life lived from the one lived 20 years ago.

The largest contributing factor to the reduction of air pollution track back to changes in smoking habits. More people are smoking less and those who do smoke are not smoking in confined spaces … they are taking their habit out of doors.

Overall, since the beginning of the effort to reduce fine particles given off by automobiles, diesel engines, steel mills and coal-fired power plants, life expectancy has risen as much as 15 percent of the overall 2.72 years of extra longevity seen in the United States since the early 1980s.

Particulate Air Pollution in Selected Cities, 1990-1995 -- Despite these efforts, however, air pollution remains an extremely serious environmental health problem in China. In fact, a host of recent studies have found China to have some of the worst air pollution in the world. A recent World Bank report, for example, includes four Chinese cities in its list of the 10 urban centers with the lowest air quality. The map also gives a sense of the severity of China's air pollution problem, even when compared with other major polluting cities here on the Oblate Spheroid. Cleaner air equals 21 more weeks of life

BOSTON (Reuters) - Dramatic improvements in U.S. air quality over the last two decades have added 21 weeks to the life of the average American, researchers reported on Wednesday.

Improved socioeconomic conditions, judged partly by the proportion of high school graduates living in an area, rank next. But cleaner air was a big factor.

"It's stunning that the air pollution effect seems to be as robust as it is after controlling for these other things," said Arden Pope, an epidemiologist at Brigham Young University in Utah who led the study, in a telephone interview.

Seoulites were frequently coughing and it's no wonder, with the worst air pollution levels in the OECD, Seoul's air quality is worse than other major urban centres such as Rome and Mexico City. Using life expectancy, economic, demographic and pollution data from 51 metropolitan areas, Pope and his colleagues found when fine-particle air pollution dropped by 10 micrograms per cubic meter, life expectancy rose by 31 weeks.

Areas such as Akron, Ohio, and Philadelphia showed that kind of drop in air pollution.

The bigger the decline, the longer people began living.

In some areas where fine-particle counts dropped by 13 to 14 micrograms -- such as Buffalo, New York and Pittsburgh -- people typically started living about 43 weeks longer.

The findings show there has been a real dividend from the efforts since the 1970s to improve air quality, said Pope.

In a commentary, Daniel Krewski of the University of Ottawa said the study "provides direct confirmation of the population health benefits of mitigating air pollution and greatly strengthens the foundation of the argument for air-quality management."

Based on earlier research, the World Health Organization has estimated that 1.4 percent of all deaths around the world are caused by air pollution particles.

This should be held up as bad news for nations such as China, Korea, India and Mexico due to the lack of particulate controls and personal smoking habits found there.

Ellen Brown wants to know what's up with all the mysterious prison buses in the desert.

On a recent visit to Tucson, where I was invited to give a presentation on monetary reform, I was disturbed by a story of strange goings on in the desert. A little over a year ago, it seems, a new industrial facility sprang up on the edge of town. It was in a remote industrial zone and appeared to be a bus depot. The new enterprise was surrounded by an imposing security fence and bore no outward signs identifying its services. However, it soon became apparent that the compound was in the business of outfitting a fleet of prison buses. Thirty or so secondhand city buses were being reconfigured with prison bars in the windows and a coat of fresh paint bearing the “Wackenhut G4S” logo on the side.

I do feel bad for the kid that got dunked on but it's high school, he'll forget about it when he gets to college.

Michael Irvin gets his own reality show....about the Cowboys

While most of us are probably pretty much geeked for Super Bowl XLIII, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin got some good news in that he will get his own reality show.

However very sadly it will not be about a day in the life of Michael Irvin.

The untitled project will be about twelve players trying to earn a roster spot onto the Dallas Cowboys practice sqaud.

Michael Irvin will be the host and the show will most likely be shown on Spike TV.

If it is anything like his hall of fame speech, I will be watching.
