Jimmy Kimmel Breaks A Backboard

In the world of shattered backboards, we've had many famous ones done by Jerome Lane, Michael Jordan, and the king of shattering the glass, Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins.

Well, we might have to add late night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel, to that list of people known for shattering the glass.

Okay, he moved the basket down a little but at least he has proof that he did it.

Jimmy Kimmel Interviews Jim Joyce (AKA American Idol's Scott MacIntyre)

It's been almost a week since the imperfect game occured but there is still time for it to be used as comedic fodder.

In reality, it was American Idol season 8 contestant Scott MacIntyre who is visually impaired and Scott sung a relatively nice diddy apologizing to Armando Galaragga as Jim Joyce.

Let's just say that Evan Turner got pretty excited about this part of the show.

(For those who don't want to watch the entire video, the reaction shots come at the 0:12-0:15 mark and 4:50-4:52 mark.)

Late night host Jimmy Kimmel was not happy with "The Who's" guitarist Pete Townshend for not smashing his guitar at the end of the performance.

The joke had Kimmel placing a $200 dollar prop bet that Townshend would smash his guitar where if he did, Kimmel could possibly win $250 dollars.

Oh well, at least at the end of this clip, Kimmel got his revenge and some of his money back.
