First off, I was going to assume John Cena was a Celtics fan until I hit up my friend Mr. Google. For some reason my eye caught a glimpse as Cena during the Celt's/Magic game tonight, sitting next to some slam pig a few rows back. Regardless, I did some research and found out Cena is not only a Celtics fan, but also a Magic and Lakers fan. Reward: Instant delegation to Daily Douche.
Second off, is John Cena really that huge or is that mini-me usher standing/sitting in the isle really that small?
And the lows just keep on getting lower. Just when you thought Pro Wrestling hit bottom with cameos by David Arquette and Jay Leno, this happens. And this is far more recent then those other ridiculous celebrity gimmicks, with most of KFed's appearances having happened in 2007.
WWE originally had Federline on their show to promote his album Playing with Fire but this wasn't the only reason he was on the show, as some genius decided it would be a good idea to get Kevin Federline in a feud with John Cena. KFed's first 2 appearances on the show involved Cena harassing him, but it was the third show which set things off. When Johnny Nitro battled Cena one night, Federline was Nitro's manager. At one point in the match Cena got in Federline's face and KFed responded the only way he knows how. With a slap across Cena's face.
Of course this set things off. Federline interfered again in a Cena match, this time with the championship belt on the line. The next night Federline actually changed Cena to a New Year's Day No disqualification match, which Cena accepted, and lost thanks to outside help (this is the video at the top of this entry, part 1 is here).
So Kevin Federline had basically ruined 2 matches for Cena AND embarrased him twice (the slap and the loss). And Cena had zero to show for it. So post match on New Year's Cena invited KFed to the ring for a bit of a rap battle. Push came to shove, and Cena ended up performing his finishing move, the FU, on KFed. Twice. And KFed hasn't been back with the WWE since.
Why someone thought it was a good idea to have KFed join the WWE, I will never understand. But why someone thought it was a good idea to have KFed make Cena look like a fool and then disappear a hot minute later, I understand even less (if that's even possible). All I know is that getting made a fool of by Kevin Federline has got to hurt.
