Anna Chakvetadze Faints During Tennis Match in Dubai

For those of you that think that tennis is not as grueling as other sports, the below video might change your opinion on that.

During a match between Caroline Wozniacki and Anna Chakvetadze in Dubai, Wozniacki wins a point in the second set but what happens after it is the more striking portion of the video:

Peace in Enduring Conflict between India & Pakistan found at US Open

Since the partition of British India in August 1947, which resulted in the creation of the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, there have been three major wars, one minor war and numerous armed skirmishes between the two countries, predominantly as a consequence of the dispute over Kashmir.

And over the past decade, the proliferation of nuclear weapons has created an atmosphere where relations between India and Pakistan grow more tenuous with each passing year. However, over 7,000 miles away, peace has been discovered in the Indo-Pakistani conflict on the courts of the US Open in Flushing, Queens.

Nicknamed the ‘Indo-Pak Express’, the 16th seeded duo of Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Rohan Bopanna have combined stellar play with the bond of an inspiring seven-year friendship to earn a spot in the Men’s Doubles Finals, where they will face top seeded twin brothers Bob & Mike Bryan (USA).

During their magical run, Bopanna, a native of India, and Qureshi, Pakistan’s top tennis player, pulled off notable upsets against the 2nd seeded pair of Daniel Nestor (CAN) and Nenad Zimonjic (SRB) in the fourth round and the 10th seeded twosome of Dick Norman (BEL) and Wesley Moodie (RSA) in the quarterfinals.

With their 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 semifinal victory over Eduardo Schwank (ARG) and Horacio Zeballos (ARG) Wednesday, Bopanna and Qureshi stand on the cusp of winning their first Grand Slam Doubles championship in the most successful run they have ever had as a tandem.

More significantly though, two humble men whose backgrounds should have precluded them from working together, as well as becoming good friends, have brought to light the fact that so much more can be accomplished in peace and unity than with angry words, prideful posturing and war.

And no matter the result of the Men’s Doubles Finals, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Rohan Bopanna have proven to be a credit and shining examples to India, Pakistan and the rest of the world.

Daily Dumbass: Roger Federer

On match point of the Madrid Open Final Roger Federer swings and missed to end the match. Unreal, never in my life could I have imagined Roger Federer fucking up that bad. Arguably the greatest man to ever grace a tennis court, Federer never makes a mistake quite like that. Unbelievable. So unbelievable it earned Federer a spot on F2DD as the Daily Dumbass.

Agassi and Sampras still going at it

This little exchange took place during a charity match on Friday night. Old timers Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras teamed up with current stars Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to raise money for Haiti relief efforts. Pretty funny stuff if you ask me. Sampras imitates Agassi (perfectly), Andre responds by calling Sampras a bad tipper (which he did previously in his book), Pete hits a serve at Agassi's head and references his baggage (doing crystal meth, wearing a wig, etc). Great stuff. The crowd clearly enjoyed it and attributed it to "all in good fun." But you could clearly see the tension on the faces of Agassi and Sampras as they went at it.

I've read multiple articles criticizing the two tennis legends for their behavior. My question is: Who cares? The crowd loved it, and they managed to raise over $1 million for Haiti relief. Who cares if their was some tension and feelings got hurt? (Agassi has since apologized). They put on a show and raised a lot of money for a good cause. Win-win.

You're kidding, Maria.

TMZ: Tennis babe Maria Sharapova and her Lakers boyfriend Sasha Vujacic like making things difficult for themselves. While in Palm Springs on Wednesday, the athletic couple played a bizarro game of tennis and used the racket's handle to hit the ball.

They're a perfect match.

How the fuck has this gone unnoticed? Did anyone know that the blonde bombshell, Maria Sharapova, is dating that douchebag Sasha Vujacic. You've got to be kidding me. Why why why why why would she ever date that pussy. Is there a more hated basketball player than Sasha Vujacic on the planet? I mean, he fucking sucks at the sport he plays, no one likes him, and all he does it bitch. I guess that's how you scoop a girl like Maria. All you've got to do is be a pussy. Chicks apparently dig that these days, especially hot ones.

Best part of this whole story is now we know why Sasha cut his hair. Not because he realized guys shouldn't have long hair like their female counterparts, but because Maria most likely told him too.

We also now have the answer why Sharapova can't play tennis anymore. Because she's with Sasha, what a joke.

Are these the ugliest ballboy/ballgirl outfits you've ever seen?

I couldn't help but comment on these uniquely embarrassing, grotesquely ugly, hot pink messes these poor children are forced to wear.  Scratch that, I shouldn't say poor children.  These kids are making a heaping $42/match to fetch balls for some of the worlds best athletes.  I mean landing a job in todays economy is hard enough, but a 14 year old landing a $42/match gig is just unheard of.  Thankfully, there are a competitive set of tryouts that sieve out any under-qualified ball scoopers.  Guess the reasoning for behind these "ugliforms" is to keep these rookie workers ego on an even keel.  Amen to the Aussie!!!

Vote 1 Star for this is the ugliest ball kid uniform ever created, or 5 for Aussie knows how to keep it fresh

Watch Out for that.......Ball Girl

Usually in tennis, the point of the game is get the ball back over the net under all circumstances.

During a Wimbledon match between Tommy Haas and Michael Llodra, Llodra collided with a ball girl next to the referee chair.

Who knew that tennis was a contact sport?
