Tim Tebow's Guest Appearance On The Daily Show

Last night, the interwebs went abuzz when Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow made a guest appearance on Comedy Central's "Daily Show".

Some of the questions touched upon included paying college athletes, the NFL Lockout, and Tim Tebow's new book, "Through My Eyes":

3 Things That Baffled Me (4/27)

3 things that blew my mind from the past week:

Patriots Draft Strategy – “The Patriots have traded the 22nd pick in the 2010 NFL Draft to the Denver Broncos.” The least shocking words of the entire Draft weekend. All the Pats do is trade down. I know it’s too early to fully evaluate the Draft, but for the love of God, just fucking pick someone already. The Patriots are going to regret not taking Dez Bryant, I guarantee it.

The Pats keep accumulating more and more 2nd and 3rd round picks, which I wouldn’t have a problem with if, you know, we used them to pick guys who were actually good at football! The jury remains out on last year’s class, but the Patriots haven’t drafted an impact player in the 2nd or 3rd round since 2002! Seriously, look it up.

With all that being said, by most accounts, the Patriots actually had a good draft. It’s just frustrating as all hell to watch. It takes a lot of patience to be a Pats fan. So now that I’ve vented my frustration and calmed down a little bit: In Belichick we trust.

All the fuss about Tim Tebow – Has one player’s draft status ever been so scrutinized in the history of the NFL Draft? I mean, if you’ve watched ESPN at all over the past few months, you’re probably an expert on Tim Tebow’s throwing motion, leadership skills, versatility, and even his virginity for Christ’s sake. (Apologies for using the Lord’s name in vain, Tim). There are 7 rounds in the NFL Draft, but it felt like Tebow got at least 80 percent of the coverage this weekend. The biggest reason why so many people hate him is because the sports media shoves him down our throats.

Tebow ended up going in the first round to the Denver Broncos at pick number 25. Many people have been killing the Broncos for picking him so high, and maybe rightly so, but who really knows for sure right now? That’s the beauty of the NFL draft; you never know where star players are going to come from (See: Tom Brady, round 6). I’m as sick of hearing about Tebow as the next guy, but let’s see what the kid can do before writing this off as a dumb pick.

MTV Hills Marathon – The term “Reality TV” in and of itself blows my mind, but that’s another story. If you flipped on MTV this weekend, all you saw was The Hills. For hours and hours on end. I’d rather run the entire Boston Marathon barefoot over broken glass than subject myself to the torture of a Hills marathon. How can anybody sit there and watch that fake life shit?

Tim Tebow's Gal Pal Janell Wheeler, Eliminated from American Idol

Way back in April of 2009, the above picture surfaced of Tim Tebow and some unnamed girl made the blogosphere go buzz as people speculated that she might be Tebow's girlfriend. (My Florida sources tell me however that they were just good friends)

Well, the girl in the picture, Janell Wheeler has made name for herself as she made the top 24 on this season's American Idol.

Here is one of her earlier performances of Estelle's American Boy during Hollywood Week:

However, Janell received the dire news as she was the first eliminated contestant this season.

Oh well, Cheer Up Janell!

At least you got your name out there in the music business and you got a post on Outside the Boxscore without doing anything negative.

In the end, that's more important than the title of American Idol.

Tim Tebow, Sad Face

Alabama cruised in the SEC Championship game and well Tim Tebow couldn't hold back the tears from the dream of another BCS Championship.

Cue Tom Hanks,

The Tim Tebow School of Life

I'm pretty sure some of you out there would to love to go to a school which teaches upright moral values and the ability to win the Heisman trophy.

You have a place now, "The Tim Tebow School of Life"

SEC Vote-Gate: Who voted for Snead over Tebow?

SEC Media Day was in full-force this week as college football is just around the corner. One of the stories that came up from yesterday was regarding Tim Tebow not being an unanimous All-SEC QB.

Two of the votes cast were for Ole Miss Jevean Snead. It was figured out that since Florida Urban Meyer could not vote for his own player, he was one of them. Then everyone asked, which coach did not for Tebow?

Well, South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier has come forward and said that he was at fault for not voting for Tebow. The reason why, he did not fill out his own card. Confused?

Well, Spurrier said that he never fills out these pre-season voting ballots and usually lets someone else to fill it out for him. Spurrier said that he gave it to director of football operation and filled it out for Snead. Spurrier then signed it and went about his day.

So, who is this person who voted for Snead over Tebow? Well, his name is Jamie Speronis and he has been the South Carolina director of football operations since 2004.

The great irony? He graduated from Florida back in 1985 and worked for the Gators as their director of football operations from 1996-2002. Sometimes you cannot make these stories up.

We finally can bring closure to this story and Tim Tebow can take his preseason All-SEC to the bank.

It’s that time again for Send in the Links, OTB’s look around the blogosphere of the things you need to know and stuff that you probably do not.

-> Tim Tebow still a virgin, that’s just wasteful (With Leather)
-> Lebron smoked the stickiest of the icky in high school (That NBA Lottery Pick)
-> An Interview with Maurice Jones-Drew (Black and Teal)

Now, Excuse Me, I need to teach Brian Skinner how to jump...

Wait, Let me see that Teebow

In a story that can only be read to be believe, the Tim Tebow idolization has gotten to the point where there is a thong panty named after him.

The Teebow is in Florida Gator colors along with some styles having a number 15 logo on the back to signify Tebow.

I honestly do not have words to describe this story. However, I have a feeling that at least ten of you just fantasized about Erin Andrews wearing one.

The Top 5: Sometimes being “Obsessed” is a good thing

Usually, we find some out of work TV writers to write us their top 5 lists. In the end, we dispose and make our own anyway

1) Ali Larter: This week’s number one is Ali Larter who has a new movie coming out this Friday called, “Obsessed” where she plays a temp who is obsessed with her new boss played by Idris Elba.

Beyonce stars as Elba’s wife and promises an intense ending cat-fight scene between her and Ali Larter near the end of the movie.

Since we do not want Jay-Z to kick our asses, Larter is number #1 for this week

2) Who is Tim Tebow?: No, I’m sorry the answer was not Tim Tebow. Ken Jennings Pwned.

3) Chris Bosh parody of The Hills: You just need to watch it, nuff said.

4) Derrick Rose: Rose won the NBA Rookie of the Year award. OJ Mayo and Brook Lopez got nothing and liked it. Kevin Love, really did not like it and still got nothing.

5) Chicago Cubs Cat: Now, who do you got in a fight: Citi Field Cat or Wrigley Field Cat?

Stuff that missed the cut: Lindsay Soto’s cleavage, Reefer Madness caught up to Percy Harvin, Charles Barkley with Daisy Dukes on, and MLB Umpire Kerwin Danley wobbles and falls over.

In search of someone who is Tebow-esque....

Just when you thought that Tim Tebow love couldn't be taken to another level, it is on this post on craigslist.
