Lil Wayne Reps Packers in "Green and Yellow" Super Bowl Song

It might surprise you to learn that Lil Wayne is a fan of the Green Bay Packers as evidenced in his ESPN column and his wearing of a Packers hat in his "Fireman" video.

With the Pack in the Super Bowl, it was only a matter of time for Mr. Wayne to a tribute to the team.

Lil Wayne at it again, writes a song about Michael Phelps

In a previous post on Outside the Boxscore, we commented that rapper Lil Wayne wrote a song about Los Angles Lakers star Kobe Bryant.

Well, he is at it again and he has a written a song for Michael Phelps called, "I'm A Go Getta." It was mentioned during the Beijing Olympics that Phelps listened to Lil Wayne before he would go out to race.

The real question is who is the next athlete to have a song written by Wezzy for him or her? In the end, the real winner is the blogosphere.

Lil Wayne writes a song about Kobe.....

Just when you thought it was safe to listen to Lil Wayne, he does a track called "Kobe Bryant." Pretty much it is a love ballad of some sort with some funking beat added to it.

You also have to love the sampling of "Screamin Stephen A Smith" and blogger Elie Seckbach get some serious love on this track.

It actually is not that bad but when you have a line that say "Gotta get the gleam, do it for Kareem," I can understand your eye rolls.

Shaq is a better rapper than Lil Wayne

Okay, the title definitely isn't true. However, Shaq is pretty funny once he gets going, as illustrated in this YouTube clip I found of Shaq free styling on the Team USA bus back in the day.

Highlights include "Now watch me bump this like Dave Justice" and "Bring that beat back" after an awkward pause. Hard to make out a lot of the words, but pretty silly stuff.
