There are many stories that I have come across while writing this blog but this one might be filed in the things that I would never have thought that I would write.
Current San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman was taken into custody by San Diego police for allegedly choking current girlfriend and former MTV star Tila Tequila.
Tequila allegedly that Merriman physically choked her and prevented her from leaving his house. Merriman's camp is saying that Tequila was "visibly drunk" and he only prevented her from leaving his home for the fear of her own safety.
The Chargers organization released a statement through general manager A.J. Smith, "It's disappointing to hear about the issue involving Shawne Merriman. We'll continue to monitor the situation and let the legal process run its course"
This is one weird situation and I will hold judgment until there are more details released but this is one strange story that I believe will only get stranger.
