The past 24 hours have probably not been the best of days for Buffalo Bills cornerback and kick returner Leodis McKelvin.
The Bills were on their way to a sure victory over the New England Patriots until McKelvin decided to take matters into his own hands on the kickoff. Instead of kneeling the ball down in the end zone where he caught it, he decided to take it out of the end zone and subsequently fumble the ball. The Pats went onto win by the score of 25-24.
Well, McKelvin's lawn paid the price for this move.
The front lawn of a home belonging to Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin was vandalized following Buffalo's season-opening loss to New England.
Hamburg police on Tuesday confirmed the home of a Bills player was vandalized, but declined to release details of their investigation after an obscenity and the score of Monday night's game -- a 25-24 loss to the Patriots -- were painted in white on the player's lawn in suburban Buffalo.
McKelvin fumbled a kickoff return with under two minutes to play and the Bills leading 24-19. Three plays later, New England's Tom Brady hit Benjamin Watson for the go-ahead touchdown as the Patriots overcome an 11-point deficit in the final 2:06
If I am a betting man, I have a feeling that obscenity began with the letter F.
