Pippa Middleton was hotly tipped to win this year's Rear Of The Year after she stepped out in her bum-hugging ivory dress at big sister Kate's Royal Wedding in April.

But the slender brunette was up against stiff competition and 50-year-old TV presenter Carol Vorderman has nabbed the 2011 title.�

'I am really surprised and flattered to get this award, particularly at this stage of my life,' says Carol.

'I always suspected there were a lot of people out there who were glad to see the back of me, so this has turned out to be very funny indeed.'

Though she was virtually unknown before her role as Maid Of Honour, Pippa, 27, received a surge of votes in the 6 weeks following Kate and Wills' nuptials - but not enough to beat the former Coutdown star, who's often snapped in tight-fitting outfits.

Winning for the boys is flamboyant Strictly Come Dancing favourite Anton du Beke, 44.

'After seeing Anton in his tight-fitting, gold-spangled trousers on Strictly, how could there ever have been another winner?' says Wizard Jeans sponsor Sally Allen.
