Robot Throws First Pitch At Philadelphia Phillies Game

It's only a matter of time until the robots take over the world and if you are begin to fear that possibility, look away from the below video.

The Philadelphia Phillies invited some University of Pennslyvania students and their robot to throw out the first pitch:

Michelle Beadle Gets "Pitchy", First Pitchy

It appears that everything all of a sudden is coming up Michelle Beadle this week as we get not one but two Beadle posts this week.

Recently, Michelle was given the honor to throw out the first pitch at a New Britain Rock Cats minor league affair and she nailed it.

Clearly, it was because of the Gunslinger Jeans.

T-Rex First Pitch at Memphis Redbirds Game....Just A Bit Outside

Recently at a Memphis Redbirds game who are the Triple AAA affiliate of the St Louis Cardinals, the thing in charge of throwing out the first pitch was rather "extinct".

A robotic T-Rex was set to throw out the first pitch and let's just say he has issues getting it over the plate.

The Chicago White Sox did a promotion similar to this one back in 2009 with the Walking with Dinosaur exhibit that was passing through town.

However, at least these videos provide an explanation of why the Velociraptor had such a high on-base percentage in the Dinosaur Baseball League.

Barack Obama's First Pitch...Just A Bit Outside

Today was Opening Day for Major League Baseball for teams not named the Boston Red Sox or the New York Yankees.

President of the United States of America Barack Obama carried out his presidential duties by throwing out the first pitch for the Nationals/Phillies affair. Barack paid a little tribute to his White Sox allegiance by wearing a White Sox hat when he threw out that pitch.

Obama's first pitch was a little outside and pretty much saved by Nationals 3rd baseman Ryan Zimmerman from being a wild pitch.

I have a feeling that if Zimmerman ever needs a presidential pardon, he'll get one.

Artie Lange’s First Pitch, just a bit outside

I guess you can call Outside the Boxscore, your home of terrible first pitches by celebrities. Recently, Howard Stern’s Artie Lange was at a Newark Bears game to throw out the first pitch.

The video eventually speaks for itself but let’s be honest, most of us could probably not do any better than Artie.

At least, Joe Buck was not involved.

At least, Baba-Booey threw only one pitch...

In the last post, we joked about Adam Carolla's three "first" pitch attempts during a Los Angeles Dodgers game last year.

Well, Gary Dell'Abate (AKA Baba-Booey from the Howard Stern Show) decided to one up him and throw one of the worst pitches that I have ever seen at a Mets game.

The guys at SNY decided not to let him live down his cruel fate by showing him a replay of it.
