Just when you thought it was safe to use a snow blower, Colorado Avalanches Joe Sakic proves that you might need to be scared off one.
Colorado Avalanche captain Joe Sakichas broken three fingers in a snow blower accident and will be out at least three months. The Avalanche say Sakic underwent surgery Tuesday night for the broken fingers and tendon damage. The team says he’s expected to make a full recovery. The snow blower accident occurred at Sakic’s home Tuesday afternoon.
Damn!!!!!, there is a reason why I use a shovel to remove my snow. Hopefully the gruesome details will be left out so the public doesn't have to know how it happened. Sakic was already rehabbing an injury with a herniated disc, so this will just push back his return to the ice.
My real questions is why is Sakic who is currently injured using a snow blower? Don't athletes pay someone to do housework for them? However in this troubling economy it wouldn't suprise me at all.
