Apparently Manny, fed up with not receiving a monster contract offer yet this offseason, is thinking of hanging up the cleats. Manny's been playing 15 years now and can be a distraction for sure, but we saw last year just how effective Manny can be when he's in his element. I'm a Red Sox fan and I know he burned us last year but damn the guy can play. Say it ain't so ManRam!
A few teams have shown interest, but nothing major. Traderumors puts Dodgers, Yankees, and Nats in the lukewarm hat. Here's to hoping Manny and his lifetime .411 OBP get to see time in the field next year.
I mean the man high-fived a fan mid double play. Doesn't get much sweeter than that.
