Finally, Monday Night Football gets a premier match-up between the Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both teams are currently tied for the lead in the NFC South and looking to pull away.
The Carolina Panthers are finally looking like the team that was so dominate in 2002. Jake Delhomme and a duo of running backs DeAngelo Williams (pictured above) and rookie Johnathan Stewart lead the offense. Defensively the Panthers are a no-name bunch outside of Julius Peppers and Chris Gamble but can cover the field with speed and power.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers who won the division last year boast one of the best defenses in football that includes veterans Derrick Brooks and Ronde Barber. The age-less one, Jeff Garcia, leads the playoff push with a rejuvenated Antonio Bryant and veteran Bucs running-back Warrick Dunn.
In the end, the game will be determinate of who can the run the football and stop the run. The Panthers have been so hot recently running the ball, expect a big game from Deangelo Williams and a slim Panther win.
